NO GI / MMA

MMA

No Gi focuses on learning and applying all the effectiveness and versatility of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the traditional Gi (uniform). No Gi training is very similar to Jiu-Jitsu and is built on all the same principals. The participants do not wear the traditional kimono; therefore, the techniques are slightly modified to accommodate inability to hold the opponents by their clothing. The training much like Jiu-Jitsu concentrates on ground control and submission. The No Gi/Submission classes are open to all ranks, but a good foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu technique is strongly recommended.
